Embarking on a journey as a 9-year-old in a new country, I was filled with a myriad of opportunities. Three decades later, my professional voyage has navigated me into the mental health field. Over the past 22 years, I have worn various hats in mental health, from navigating admissions processes and financial intricacies to serving as an intake counselor. The ability to contribute even in a small way to someone's well-being has become the driving force behind my dedication to the field of mental health. I believe that each day presents an opportunity to make a positive difference and it is this prospect that propels me forward.
As I reflect on my journey and what I have learned, a quote from Philippians 4:13 encapsulates my core belief: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This mantra serves as a light to guide my path while instilling resilience and fortitude in my commitment to working in mental health. My heart is devoted to helping others, and I look forward to continuing this meaningful work for many more years to come.
